TITLE: Rora
ARTIST: Ginny Sykes (1999)
LOCATION: Erie Street and the Chicago River
DESCRIPTION: Rora is the Potawatomie word for "confluence." This work is composed of two mosaics. One mosaic includes depictions of flora that have grown along the river since the last ice age. The other reflects the commerce and trade that began to dominate the river's usage.
