TITLE: Sun plate of ammonite
ARTIST: Caroline Jung
LOCATION: 89547 Gerstetten, Hungerbrunnental
DESCRIPTION: The Ammonite is one of the fossils with the most variety of forms and the most frequent occurrence. The name Ammon comes from Amun-Re, the sun god in old Egypt. So, during my 4-year-stay in Egypt, I drew the line from a sun god and the old culture of the Egyptians to the many primeval findings on the Swabian Alb. This sculpture is a part of the sculpture path "UMoSSA", opened in 2014
