TITLE: Peace Park Memorial
ARTIST: Robert A. Crum
LOCATION: Hard Rock Park, Hard Rock Parkway
DESCRIPTION: Robert Crum created the mosaic installed at Hard Rock Park in an area known as the British Invasion. The mosaic is 12 feet in diameter (113 square feet) and was constructed with black and white marble mosaic pieces measuring one inch and smaller. The overall mosaic design imitates one used as a memorial to John Lennon that is found in New York City's Central Park although the center peace sign and text are different. The mosaic was installed in March 2008 in the 140 acre rock and roll theme park which officially opened in June 2008.
