TITLE: Dances with the Landscape
ARTIST: Kim Emerson
LOCATION: Fritz Burns Community Park, Avenida Bermudas and Avenue 52, San Diego
DESCRIPTION: This project was a collaboration in design and installation with San Diego artist Alber De Matteis. The project consists of twelve mosaics depicting the flora and fauna of the desert: a big horn sheep, mountain lion, coyote, rabbit, quail, owl, rattlesnake, roadrunner, desert tortoise, butterfly, and barrel cactus. They are located in the sidewalk to the entrance of the swimming pool facility. (1996)
