TITLE: The Great Gator Wall (Mosaic Mural)
ARTIST: A mosaic mural project in collaboration with the children attending the summer recreation
LOCATION: Gansevoort School, 758 Liberty Street, Rome NY
DESCRIPTION: A mosaic mural project in collaboration with the children attending the summer recreation
program at Gansevoort Elementary School. This project was sponsored by RCSD Safe Schools / Healthy Students, Rome Weed & Seed, and Turner Glass Art. The mosaic mural features Gansevoort’s mascot – the Gator! The mosaic was created using small ceramic tiles, hand made by the children. It also includes small trinkets and found objects brought in by the children.
