TITLE: Last Judgment of Christ
ARTIST: Commissioned by Charles IV, king of Bohemia and Holy Roman Emperor
LOCATION: Golden Gate of St. Vitus' Cathedral (Katedrála svatého Víta), Prague Castle (Pražsky hrad)
DESCRIPTION: Potassium glass mosaic, completed in 1371, considered the most important exterior monumental medieval mosaic north of the Alps. Restored by a Getty Conservation Institute project, 1998-2000.
